Best water taxi available on the Lake Como.

With 2 Dutch families including 6 kids, we booked a 3 hour boat tour on Lake Como. The skipper, Matthew (Matt) a local who grew up around the lake, knew all good places to sail past and was telling the historical details and those of local and international celebreties owning property around the lake.
We also took a jump form a 3,5mtr old Roman bridge in the cooling water of the lake and spent some time swimming as well.
For me this trip is a must do when around in one of the beautiful places around Lago di Como. If you do, ask for skipper Matt!

Friendly driver and very informative about the lake. Reasonable prices. We toured most of the lake with a stop in Bellagio, which was the driver’s recommendation….we would have missed it otherwise.

We hired Mattia to take us around the lake to see the many beautiful homes and towns of Lake Como. Mattia is a great guide and his boat is beautiful. This is a family business and a well run one at that. Mattia was very knowledgeable about the entire lake area. Plus, he’s a super nice guy. He had water on board for us which we needed on a hot day. Hire him for a tour or to take you somewhere.

My daughter and I felt so very fortunate to have found Matthia and his beautiful water taxi service. We contracted with him to transfer us from Castadiva to Villa Serbelloni and also got an incredibly informative history tour of the lake. His knowledge of the area being a native, and excellent English made this such a pleasant experience. Matthia is a very hardworking business owner ( he owns and operates this company). His boat is beautifully restored and pristine. This was a highlight of our visit to Lake Como ( we even got a glimpse of the home of George Clooney)

I did a lake tour with Lake Como Water Taxi. Highly recommend it! Boat was beautiful and Mattia (owner and guide) was lovely – very knowledgeable. I strongly recommend this as something to do whilst at the lake. Picked us up and dropped us back from our hotel jetty – terrific tour!

Our hotel arranged a 3 hour water taxi tour of Lake Como for two of us on a beautiful September day. .The boat is clean , comfort and covered The capatain is a local , very knowledgable of the area and beyond ( like San Moritz where he worked in the winter time ) I learned the sunny east side is where people prefer to live ,close to Swiss too. . The tour took us to south first where we saw many mansions( like G Clooney etc ) and towns , stopped at the place where Star War movie was made . Then moved north to finished off at Bellagio area . Beautiful mountains and towns.. Expensive , worth every penny

I had phoned a couple of other places before a talked to Matti and found that he was very easy to talk to. We saw some great architecture and Matti was full of good information.

We were a family group of 7 adults and 5 children (ages 2-9) staying at a villa in Bellagio. We booked a two hour lake tour (with less than a days notice) in order to view the surroundings from the water, and Mattia was able to pick us up from the closest location to our villa, which was Loppia. We found the service via Google, visited the website and made a phone call to book. We were not required to leave a deposit, and paid via credit card on the day. The cost was $150 euro per hour, which was much more cost effective than the local Bellagio services quoting $250 euro per hour. The boat was beautiful and Mattia provided great service, arrived promptly, spoke English extremely well and recommended the best itinerary for the time we had available. His background knowledge on the history of the surroundings and different buildings was excellent and he answered all of the questions thrown at him. We had a most enjoyable morning on the lake and would highly recommend it to others.

My uncle, Steve and I had a tour of Lake Como with the owner, Mattia, of Lake Como Water Taxi a few days ago. What a WONDERFUL and beautiful day on the lake. Mattia came and picked us up at our hotel, which was on the lake in Blevio for a 4 hour tour, which took us down to Como and then up the west part of Lake Como to Bellagio, where we had a light, quick lunch and a little bit of sightseeing. Then back on the boat for the ride back to our hotel on the east side of the lake. Mattia grew up on the lake and was so informative of every town and villa, along with general and precise history of Lake Como and the surrounding area….he was also very professional and the nicest and polite young man I have met in all of Italy. Mattai takes very much pride in his business and it shows.

Great way to get to/from Villa de Balbianello. No frills, but comfortable enough and not too expensive.

This is an absolute must! We shared the boat with 5 other couples and it ended up being pretty affordable splitting it 5 ways. The boat ride was about three hours which included lunch. The perfect amount of time to spend touring around. I highly recommend Lake Como Water Taxi, the owner, Mattia, was an awesome captain and tour guide.

We took the train from Milan to Como, the lake is beautiful, anyone visiting the lake must take the boat tour, stopping around the lake for local people to get home, the boat takes an hour around it. Also visit the Como church you will be left speechless. Highly recommend visiting Lake Como to all visitors to Italy

We did a 3 hour tour of the lake como with Matthia. He is so knowledgeable and speaks excellent english, which made the tour even more enjoyable. Make sure to take some water to drink as he doesn’t have any on board. It is about 150 euro an hour, but is so worth it. We would do it again in a heartbeat.

Fabulous and easy to get to various areas. We suggest sitting on the upper deck to get a full view. The water taxis come quite frequently.

We booked Mattia’s fancy motorboat for a trip from Lezzeno to Como. The classy motorboat was spotless, elegant and very clean. Mattia himself has been discreet, polite yet very open to have a chat and spend a few extra minutes to show us some hidden spots of the Lake that you really can enjoy only from the water. Overall a very nice experience, highly recommended and at a reasonable price.

Took a boat across Lake Como to see the views and watch the sunset
Was windy and quite cold but I wasn’t dressed accordingly so all my fault
Boat stops at different stops , prices are decent and there are a few options
Stunning views across the lake and really enjoyed it
The only thing I disliked was the lady at the till that sells the tickets – my Italian is white broken so I gave up since she was rushing me and spoke in English
She literally rushed me , shouted at me , snapped the money out my hand and threw me my ticket
So so rude that woman
Literally got me so angry and frustrated, all I wanted was to give her a piece of mind but decided to go for the boat
So watch out for the angry ticket sale lady

Took an evening trip of the lake – to view and access small villages and landmarks around the lake. The weather in May was really amazing and enroute one can also see all the amazing villas including the famous ones owned by celebrities like Clooney, Branson etc

We took the train(less than an hour) from Milan to Como, beautiful place and certainly worth visiting. I suggest you go early in the morning so you can enjoy the entire day at Lake Como if you’re not staying there.

Mattia is a fantastic person! We really appreciated his knowledge of the lake, the stories about the wonderful villas, the legendary tales and some insider rumors of that wonderful place which is the Lake of Como. He took us to Bellagio where we celebrated my mom’s 80th: the experience on Mattia’s boat made it an unforgettable day. Grazie Mattia!

Lake Como is, itself, a beautiful lake. The fact that multi-millionaires have fantastic homes built around the edges makes for a fun viewing afternoon. You go around the entire lake with a narration of what you are seeing. It is a calm and enjoyable way to spend two hours.

We were excited to visit Lake Como and the water taxis took us to six towns which gave us an overview of the area and where and what we wanted to visit. The taxis were on time and the staff was professional. We only sat outside at the front of the boat which was clean. Seating is on plastic seats that were comfortable enough.

To enjoy the serenity of Lake Como, stay in a family owned hotel in a small town (I recommend Tremezzo) and take the water taxi to visit the many other villages around the lake. The trip to Tremezzo (or Belaggio, the most famous of the lake villages) from the town of Como is about 1:15 hours by water taxi. If you can make this trip in the day time, it is an absolute delight. Water taxi is the best way to see all the spectacular villas and to decide which ones you want to visit. The water taxis run on time and are convenient stop at most of the lake villages.

We hired Mattia’s boats for our wedding from Vassena to Balianello. Mattia arranged prosecco on board and was so helpful emailing etc as I arranged while in the uk. I would totally recommend his beautiful boat!
